Bulldogs fall to Jesup in regional duals

Nolan Lerch earned four points for MFL MarMac thanks to a 9-0 major decision at 195 pounds.

A fall by Holden Mathis at 132 pounds brought the Bulldogs closer to the J-Hawks in the dual loss.

Karter Decker opened the dual with Jesup with a fall at 152 pounds.

Dayne Kohrs pulled out an 11-7 decision at 170 pounds.

Pape, Bachman advance to Girls State Wrestling Tournament

Pape advanced to state after placing first at 120 pounds.

Mackenzie Bachman also made it to state with a second-place finish at 135 pounds at the Jan. 27 regional qualifier at Luther College in Decorah.

Danice Frieldlein won one match regionals, but was not able to advance further.

Audrey Ruff competed in two matches, but did not place, at regionals.

Four individual championships lead Bulldogs to UIC title

MFL MarMac senior Karter Decker celebrates winning the conference championship at 152 pounds. He sealed the title with his 100th career pin.

Conference marked the first career tournament win for Austin Schaller, a sophomore wrestling at 182 pounds.

Senior Taylor Herzmann's conference championship was the first tournament win of his career.

Quinn McGeough took the top spot at 160 pounds at the UIC tournament.

Zach Driscoll netted 14 points in MFL MarMac’s 90-42 win over West Central on Jan. 27.

Carver Blietz-Bentien’s 20 points led the charge against West Central. The junior finished off the double-double with 10 rebounds and also had two assists and two steals.

Hunter Meyer and the Bulldogs limited the West Central office and grabbed 21 steals.

Parker Kuehl picked up 16 points versus the Blue Devils.
