Bulldogs take the wind out of Columbus Catholic’s sails

Kade McElwaine accounted for 9 of MFL MarMac’s 48 tackles. Seven were solo efforts and 3 for a loss.

MFL MarMac totaled 236 rushing yards, a big part of which head coach Dan Anderson credited to offensive linemen like Hunter Meyer (53).

Central runners put in strong performances at home meet

Haley Frieden crossed the finish line 23rd in the meet at the Elkader Golf and Country Club.

Collin Jaster charges toward the finish line in the home country meet, in which he placed 22nd for the Warriors.

Delaney Scherf runs just ahead of teammate Taylor Moser in the meet at the Elkader Golf and Country Club. Scherf placed 12th and Moser 18th.

Caden Fette captured 32nd place in last week's meet.

Jaydin Dettman continued to turn in strong finishes last week, placing second in the Sept. 15 home meet.

Central freshman Caden Fette ran 31st in the Clayton Ridge meet on Sept. 6.

Jaydin Dettman continued her early season success in Guttenberg, placing fourth.

Gavin Holst medaled again in the Sept. 6 meet, this time with a fifth place finish.

Reese Berns finished 18th in the Clayton Ridge Invitational, and was one of four Warrior girls who placed within the top 20.

MFL MarMac runners turn in solid efforts at Clayton Ridge, NFV meets

Emma Koether’s time of 27:19 put her 35th at the Clayton Ridge Invitational.

Sophomore Jacob Schellhorn continued his string of success last week, placing second in both races.

Kaylee Nuehring turned in a strong 41st place time in the Clayton Ridge meet.

Logan Ross posted a time of 28:47 in Guttenberg, then shaved two minutes off that in the race at NFV.

Mariah Moser crossed the finish line 45th at the Clayton Ridge Invitational on Sept. 6.

Evelyn Ruff came in 16th at the Sept. 6 meet, after crossing in 24:38.

Clare Grau finished 25th at the Clayton Ridge Invitational.

'Return' to form: Bulldogs overwhelm Eagles 60-0

Tristen Koehn was MFL MarMac’s leading tackler against the Eagles. He had 6 total and also contributed on one of the team’s 4.5 sacks.

Bryce Radloff was one of three Bulldogs who scored a touchdown on a kick or punt return. All three of those touchdowns came in the first quarter.

Corbin McElwaine wraps up Clayton Ridge quarterback Kylar Millard.

Quarterback Zach Driscoll threw just two passes in the game, but made the most of them. Each was a touchdown reception to Carver Blietz-Bentien.

Wyatt Powell amassed 4.5 tackles and 2 sacks in the MFL MarMac win.

Karter Decker blew past the Eagles special teams coverage in a first quarter punt return that resulted in another MFL MarMac touchdown.

Schellhorn is MFL MarMac’s first cross country race winner in almost 20 years

The MFL MarMac girls country team placed fourth overall at the Sept. 1 meet at Tri City. Cora Keehner was the top individual finisher, in ninth.

Will Koether posted a time under 20 minutes and placed within the top 20.

Evelyn Ruff worked her way to 13th place in the meet at Tri City.

Tucker Ruff raced to 18th place at the MFL MarMac Invitational.

Clare Grau finished 16th in the Sept. 1 meet, making her one of three Bulldog girls to place within the top 20.

Emma Koether crossed the line 21st.

Mariah Moser rounded out the girls' scores in 29th place.
