John Baures, age 63, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home. He was born on Oct. 4, 1961, to the late James and Delores (Kaiser) Baures in the Gays Mills area. John attended North Crawford High School and afterwards, he went straight into the work force, working for Cleary Building in construction and BAPI as a factory worker.

Jean Carol (Hoffman) Irish was born on June 4, 1935, to Earl and Beatrice Hoffman with sisters Marion, LaVon, Lois, and JoAnn and Wyleen (Eunice) eight years later. The six sisters gathered with their families for holidays at the Hoffman home in Lancaster, and all the grandchildren vividly remember the sisters “debating” — solving the problems of the world.
