Inurnment was at Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Dennis E. Fassbinder, 68, of Guttenberg, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Guttenberg Care Center. 

Visitation will be held 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 21, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg. Funeral services will commence at 2 p.m. with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Colesburg. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Fassbinder, Josh Knockel, George Morteo, Carol Berns, Jerry Fassbinder, and Terry Knockel. A celebration of life will follow at Guttenberg Eagles Club.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg. Visitation was before services at the funeral home.

Burial was at Bethel Cemetery in Colesburg.

Wilma J. Billmeyer, 89, of Guttenberg, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at Guttenberg Care Center. 

Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 16, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg and before services at the church.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 17, at United Methodist Church in Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Neil Hofer.

LaVonne Jean Herzog, 85 of Osterdock, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg. Visitation will continue on Friday, Nov. 14, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg with funeral services beginning at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Mike Ashman and Rev. Roland Waterman. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, near Colesburg.

Andrew MacKenzie Holcomb, 31, beloved son of Christine (Brown) and David Holcomb passed away on Oct. 21, 2025, in Des Moines where he lived.

Visitation will be will be Nov. 16, from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Temple B’Nai Jerushun Des Moines with a funeral service and communion to follow. Family and friends are invited to stay for a meal immediately afterwards to celebrate Andrew’s life in the fellowship hall. Two of Andrew’s closest friends will be performing the service, Kelsey and Jacob Guckenberger, pastors of Christ Community Church.

Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Colesburg.

Interment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Mike Ashman.
