The mine reserve study group for Clayton County will meet Thursday, March 3, and Thursday, March 17, at 5:30 in the Clayton County Office Building, 600 Gunder Road NE, Elkader. Members of the public are welcome to attend and listen, but may not be allowed to comment.
The group was formed in response to a request from Pattison Sand to rezone over 700 acres of land along Great River Road from agricultural to commercial for underground mining, and seeks to answer a variety of questions and concerns raised by the request.
