The Upper Iowa all-conference baseball roster was loaded with MFL MarMac Bulldogs, as all seven of the team’s seniors were recognized. Parker Kuehl, Ben Krambeer and Jacob Schellhorn were first team selections and Brayden Gordon and Jaxon Millage made the second team. Kade Humble and Jaron Wille were honorable mention picks.

Five players from the Clayton Ridge-Central baseball team have been named Upper Iowa all-conference. Kahne Bolsinger and Max Nuehring were both first team selections and Mason Loan was a second team pick, while Carson Ruegnitz and Seth Kregel received honorable mention nods.

Eileen (Sue) Szablewski

Eileen (Sue) Szablewski, also affectionately known as “Wizzy,” passed away July 13, 2025, at the age of 90, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Sue was a long-time resident of New Berlin, Wis., and Marquette, Iowa. She was a loving mother of Sue (Jerry) Matzelle, Kathy Markley, Paul (Diane) Szablewski, Holly Szablewski and Wendy Helland.

James Daub Wallner, 91, of Marquette, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien, Wis. He was a Marquette resident since September 1999. James was a native Chicagoan and pursued a career in graphic design before retiring in 1980 to Twin Lakes, Wis.

Farm stand grows out of family’s love of sharing fresh, local goods

Evanson Acres is located at 158 Suttle Creek Road. The produce and ingredients for many other goods are grown right there.

“I like keeping things as local and fresh as possible,” said Casey Evanson.
