Plagman Barn Show Days will celebrate its 40th anniversary Sept. 17-19. The three-day event features daily demonstrations, displays, live music, children’s activities, a flea market, raffle drawings, horse pull, antique tractor pull and antique tractors.

Traditions return for MFL MarMac homecoming

The 1971 MFL football team, which went undefeated and won the Upper Iowa Conference title, will serve as the grand marshal of the homecoming parade. It’s just one of many highlights planned for the week, which will run from Sept. 19-25.

Book explores Monona’s Meier House, one of few American System-Built Homes

A new book entitled “This American House: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Meier House and the American System-Built Homes” will follow authors Jason Loper and Michael Schreiber—owners of the Meier House in Monona which is one of the few American System-Built Homes (ASBH) constructed from Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs—as they trace its history through previous owners.
