Warriors take advantage of fast course at Jesup

Shane M. Gordon

Shane M. Gordon, age 58, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 25, 1967, to Donald and Lee (Ohlert) Gordon. Shane attended Mar-Mac High School before going to work for Lowe’s Electric in Luana. He later worked in La Crosse, Wis., at SkipperLiner Industries before moving to Universal Forest Products in Prairie du Chien.

History comes to life one last time at 50th Osborne Heritage Days

Apples are being pressed for apple cider. Cider will be served at the Osborne Heritage Days on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

John Frieden sits on top of his 1,348-pound pumpkin at Osborne Heritage Days in 2024. The pumpkin broke the long standing record of 1,209 pounds held by Bob Ruff since 2011.
