Former Central basketball coach Don Showalter returns to town May 20

Former Central basketball coach Don Showalter, who led the boys basketball team from 1976 to 1984, and continued a storied coaching career in the proceeding decades, will return to Elkader on May 20. He will hold a book signing for Cornfields to Gold Medals at the Elkader Public Library, then speak at the Central athletic banquet. (Submitted photo)

MFL MarMac girls put up several season bests at state qualifying meet
