Junior pitcher Erin Adrian helped the River Ridge Timberwolves softball team start the season on the right foot thanks to her complete game, two-hit, two-walk, 10 strikeout pitching performance at River Ridge High School last Thursday, Mar. 26.
The Timberwolves took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back as they added two runs in the second and six more in the fourth inning for the final total of 9-0.
The River Ridge offense was clicking during the game as five different players collected multiple hits in the win, while right fielder Kelee Redman added an RBI single.
Leading the Timberwolves offense was Josey Drone (2-for-4 with a walk and one run scored), Ellaina Gage (2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs), Adrian (2-for-3 with a double, one walk, one run scored and one RBI), Meghyn Breuer (2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and one walk) and Danica Hampton (2-for-3 with one walk, one run scored and two RBIs).
The T-Wolves were scheduled to kickoff a busy week by hosting Seneca this past Monday evening and Fennimore last night (weather permitting) before traveling to Lancaster tomorrow to take on the Flying Arrows at 4:30 p.m.
