PdC Track team begins 2026 season with a pair of indoor meets at UW-Platteville

The Prairie du Chien High School Track & Field team began the 2026 season last week with a pair of indoor meets at Williams Fieldhouse on the campus of UW-Platteville.

 

First up for the Hawks was the season opening Tri-State Large School Invitaional meet that was held on Friday, March 20. The Hawks finished in eighth place out of 12 teams in the boys meet with 29 points, while the women’s meet saw the Hawks place ninth out of 11 teams with 35 points.

 

The boys side saw the following Hawks earn points during the meet:

 

55 Meter Dash - sixth Drake Chesebro (6.87) and eighth Deacon Chesebro (6.88).

 

4x200 Meter Relay - fourth place Ashton Landt, Deacon Chesebro, Brock Radloff and Drake Chesebro (1:38.89).

 

4x400 Meter Relay - eighth place Radloff, Kaden Kvamme, Landon Smith and Deacon Chesebro (4:02.90).

 

Pole Vault - sixth place Easton Cejka (J10-00.00), seventh place Asher Pitzer (9-06.00) and eighth place Ezra Mask (J9-06.00).

 

Triple Jump - second place Drake Chesebro (39-09.50).

 

Shot Put - fourth place Steven Duha (45-03.75).

 

These Hawks placed in the top eight in the girls meet:

 

55 Meter Dash - sixth place Aspen Gelo (8.02).

 

55 Meter Hurdles - third place Paisley Dressler (10.48).

 

4x400 Meter Relay - eighth place Kennady Fradette, Madelyn Coffield, Kate Gebhard and Gelo (5:00.52).

 

4x800 Meter Relay - fourth place Makenzie Gates, Hannah Fritsche, Fradette and Allie Mezera (12:42.27).

 

Pole Vault - seventh place Lyla Redman (J6-06.00) and eighth place Emily Konichek (6-00.00).

 

Triple Jump - fifth place Coffield (28-00.50) and eighth place Elle Schneider (27-00.50).

 

Shot Put - second place Emory Campbell (31-07.50) and fifth place Hailee Gates (29-06.50).

 

Prairie du Chien returned to UW-Platteville last Tuesday, March 24 for the Pioneer High School Invitational. Team scores were not kept during the meet but these Hawks did place in the top eight in their event.

 

Boys 200 Meter Dash - first place Radloff (23.52).

 

Boys 400 Meter Dash - fourth place Lane Henderson (56.61).

 

Boys 800 Meter Run - first place Landon Smith (2:11.55).

 

Boys 3200 Meter Run - third place Linus Wechsel (12:27.49).

 

Boys 4x200 Meter Relay - seventh place Payton Beinborn, Zeke Hoffman, Matthew Kramer and Darian Jackson (1:50.83).

 

Boys 4x400 Meter Relay - fourth place Adrian Morales, Smith, Kvamme and Henderson (4:06.86).

 

Boys High Jump - second place Radloff (6-00.00) and eighth place Joseph Kramer (J5-04.00).

 

Boys Pole Vault - fifth place Cejka (J10-06.00) and tie for eighth place Drew Becwar and Mask (9-00.00).

 

Boys Long Jump - second place Landt (19-01.00), fifth place Westin Marx (18-05.00) and seventh  place Radloff (J18-04.00).

 

Boys Triple Jump - seventh place Landt (37-00.50) and eighth place Radloff (36-03.00).

 

Girls 55 Meter Dash - fourth place - Gelo (7.97).

 

Girls 200 Meter Dash - fourth place Gelo (29.16).

 

800 Meter Run - eighth place Fradette (2:46.98).

 

Girls 55 Meter Hurdles - eighth place Dressler (10.38).

 

Girls 4x200 Meter Relay - seventh place Konichek, Mairany Morales, Aleeyah Pittsley and Coffield (2:11.49).

 

Girls 4x400 Meter Relay - third place Fradette, Mezera, M. Gates and Gelo (4:53.99).

 

Girls 4x800 Meter Relay - sixth place Hannah Fritsche, M. Gates, Cecilia Jimenez Perez and Alyseia Schnitzler (13:26.94).

 

Girls High Jump - eighth place, Dressler (J4-04.00).

 

Girls Pole Vault - fifth place, Redman (J7-00.00).

 

Girls Shot Put - second place, Campbell (32-05.75), third place H. Gates (29-08.50).

 

The Hawks are scheduled for a pair of meets this week. First up is the Dodge-Poit Early Bird Meet at Dodgeville High School tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. PdC then concludes the week on Saturday, April 4 at the Wisconsin State Indoor Track & Field Championship at UW-Whitewater.
