The Bulldogs were on the opposite end of a close 46-36 dual against Dubuque, Wahlert. In addition to point-generating forfeits at 106, 120, 144, 175 and 190 pounds, Wahlert secured falls against Bunting and Escobar and a major decision over Muras.
Hanson, Kishman, Hoopes and Roe all earned falls for MFL MarMac, and Thompson and Kite won due to forfeits.
MFL MarMac fell to Hudson 54-24 in the third dual. The Pirates benefitted from forfeits at 120, 144, 175 and 190 pounds, along with pins over Hanson, Kite, Escobar, Hoopes and Roe.
Falls from Muras, Thompson, Kishman and Bunting gave the Bulldogs their points.
The duals were the team’s final action before districts this Saturday, Feb. 14. MFL MarMac will host the Class 1A - District 6 meet, beginning at 10 a.m. The top two finishers in each weight class will qualify for the state tournament in Des Moines next week.
