Up against a very aggressive and stingy defensive performance from visiting Albany/Monticello (2-1, 6-1), the host Timberwolves of River Ridge were handed a 64-20 loss in Six Rivers conference girls’ basketball action last Friday night.

With Friday night’s loss, coach Michael DiPadova’s T-Wolves fell to 2-2 in league play and 4-3 overall heading into this past Monday’s night’s non-conference contest at Boscobel.

Against Albany/Monticello, the Timberwolves were limited to just nine points on three field goals and three free throws in the first half, and followed up with 11 points in the second half.

Junior Erin Adrian led River Ridge with six points, four coming in the first half, while sophomore Eden Thornton chipped in five, all coming in the second half.

Fellow sophomore Adayah Groom finished with four point, followed by Ava Nies with three and Danica Hampton two.

Following this past Monday night’s road game at Boscobel, the Lady Wolves will next host Iowa-Grant, Juda and Seneca in a home tournament on Saturday, Dec. 27.
