The Prairie du Chien boys basketball team opened conference play this past Friday night when they welcomed the Platteville Hillmen to the Prairie du Chien Fieldhouse. The defending conference champions showed why they are a favorite to win their fourth conference title in a row by jumping out to a 49-21 halftime lead before pulling away in the second half for a 102-60 victory, their 25th conference win in-a-row dating back to January 2023.

 

Sophomore Cayden Sutter led the Hawks in scoring with 20 points, while senior Garrett DeHart added 13 points. Rounding out the scoring for PdC was senior Sam Kramer with seven points, senior Brock Folsom with six points, sophomore Parker Bedward with five points, senior Ashton Landt with four points, sophomore Mike Jazdzewski with three points and senior Steven Duha with two points. Bedward and Landt each grabbed six rebounds to lead the Hawks while Sutter added four assists.

 

Prairie du Chien started off this week last night when they hosted the Boscobel Bulldogs last night before traveling to Richland Center tomorrow night to take on the Hornets at 7:30 p.m.
