Even though it looks like a quarterback drop back, Prairie du Chien graduate Bryce Lenzendorf is actually dropping back into coverage at linebacker during the 2025 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association’s Small Schools All-Star Game last Saturday at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh. Recent Prairie du Chien graduate Bryce Lenzendorf competed in the 2025 WFCA Small School All-Star Football game this past Saturday, July 19 at UW-Oshkosh’s Titan Stadium. Lenzendorf was credited with four assisted tackles for the South team during their 19-12 loss to the North team.
Lenzendorf marks the third consecutive year that Prairie du Chien Football has had a player participate in the WFCA All-Star Game (note - it does not include athletes selected but unable participate due to other obligations) and the sixth player selection in the last seven years.
Prairie du Chien Football has had 14 players and 3 head coaches participate in the event since its launch in 1977: 1979 - South - QB - Carl Shedivy, 1984 - South - RB - Greg Shedivy, 1987 - South - LB - Mike Nelson, 1987 - South - Assistant Coach - Paul Bebow, 2006 - South - Assistant Coach - Guy Kopp, 2009 - Small D4-D7 South - WR - Tyler O’Kane and SS - Nate Keeney, 2010 - Small D4-D7 South - RB - Kyle McCoy and WR - Cole Lewis, 2013 - Small D4-D7 South - OL - Brogan Riter, 2019 - Small D4-D7 South - QB - Gavin Gillitzer and DB - Tyler Smock, 2019 - Small D4-D7 South - Assistant Coach - Jason Thiry, 2020 - Small D4-D7 South - LB - Tyler Hannah - Game cancelled due to COVID-19, 2023 - Small D4-D7 South - K - Joey Xiya, 2024 - Small D4-D7 South - OL - Max Schneider and 2025 - Small D4-D7 South - LB - Bryce Lenzendorf.
Earlier in the week it was announced that Lenzendorf had also been selected to participate in the 53rd annual Wisconsin American Legion Baseball All-Star Game to be held on Sunday, August 10 at American Family Field in Milwaukee following the Brewers vs. New York Mets contest.
Lenzendorf’s selection makes it five consecutive seasons that Prairie du Chien Legion has had a player selected to the All-Star Game and the eighth time in the last nine years. Overall, Lenzendorf is the 19th different player from Prairie du Chien to be selected for the All-Star game since the program began in 1997.
To the best of my current records, here is a complete list of every PdC player and coach selected: 1997 - Scott Gillitzer, 1998 - Travis Elvert, 1999 - Jason Krogman, 2002 - Nate Henry, 2003 - Dustin O’Kane, 2006 - Nick Lenzendorf and Nate Cejka (Coach), 2008 - Kyle Sime, 2009 - Tyler Kozelka, 2010 - Brett Hogan, 2011 - Kevin Aspenson, 2017 - Chas Sagedahl, 2018 - Drake Coleman, 2019 - Gavin Gillitzer, 2021 - Jon Nicholson, 2022 - Colton Thompson and Bjorn Thompson (Coach), 2023 - Caydon Lomas, Maddox Cejka and Nate Cejka (Coach), 2024 - Noah Pedretti and 2025 - Bryce Lenzendorf.
