Eileen (Sue) Szablewski, also affectionately known as “Wizzy,” passed away July 13, 2025, at the age of 90, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Sue was a long-time resident of New Berlin, Wis., and Marquette, Iowa. She was a loving mother of Sue (Jerry) Matzelle, Kathy Markley, Paul (Diane) Szablewski, Holly Szablewski and Wendy Helland. She is also survived by her long-time and loving partner Larry Breuer, sisters Iva Corbitt and Tally (Jim) Schuppel, brother John (Toni) Harrison, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren special friends Richard and Charlene Palucci and her six kitties. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Eileen and John Harrison, husband Gilbert Szablewski, daughter Mary Kay Holguin, granddaughter Jodi Fox and brother David (Rose) Harrison.

After Sue’s husband Gil passed away in 1995, she left a career as a paralegal in Milwaukee to courageously pursue her lifelong dream of owning a bakery. Sue fell in love with the Mississippi River town of Marquette after passing through when visiting her sister, Iva. Along the way, she met Larry Breuer, and in 1997 helped make her dream come true when, together, they designed, and Larry built, the Wildflour Bakery & Confectionery.
