Joyce Kelleher died on Feb. 3, 2025, in Tucson, Ariz., at the age of 94.

 

Joyce Hilma Conner was born in Keokuk on Jan. 30, 1931, to Glen and Hilma (Helenius) Conner. She and her brother, Bob, were raised in Keokuk. Joyce graduated from the University of Iowa in 1953.

 

In 1960, Joyce married Harry Kelleher. They were married for 60 years.

 

Joyce was preceded in death by Harry, her parents and her brother. She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews and dozens of great-nieces and nephews.

 

The family thanks Joyce’s caregivers in memory care at Hacienda at the River in Tucson, who cared for her for the last three years of her life, as well as the in-home caregivers from Synergy in San Diego, who cared for her for two years.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, July 25, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elkader.
