October 18, 1962-June 18, 2025

Judy L. Mezera, age 62 of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday June 18, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. 

She was born on Oct. 18, 1962, to Francis and Betty (Robertson) Speth. Judy married Michael Mezera on Sept. 19, 2009, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. 

She worked for the 3M Company for several years, and later for Walmart, both in Prairie du Chien. Judy loved animals, cooking, baking, and tending to her flower garden — as well as to the gnomes that resided within.  

She loved her grandchildren and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. Throughout struggles with illness, her kindness and compassion never wavered.

She is survived by her husband Michael; children Kevin (Brenda Jones) Warrington, Michael (Brayanne) Hagensick, and Catherine (Kyle Collins) Warrington; two brothers Michael and Greg Byers; two sisters Cheryl Byers and Linda Speth-Holte; grandchildren Khai, Kinsley, Kahlea, Keelee, Carter, Kenadee, Sophianna, Stefan, Maelynne, and Maliah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Robertson.

Memorial Mass of Resurrection was Monday, June 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Fr. Brandon Guenther officiated with interment in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter in Prairie du Chien.
