October 6, 1947–June 11, 2025

Brian B. Dombeck, age 77 of Wauzeka, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. 

He was born on Oct. 6, 1947, to Joseph and Hilda (Wagner) Dombeck. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. Brian married Karen Oswald on Oct. 14, 1978, and they were blessed with a son Matthew. 

Brian worked for the Crawford County Highway Dept. until retirement in 2014. Brian loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with family, dogs, and friends. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Karen; son Matthew; daughter-in-law Angelique; grandsons Oliver and Sawyer of Sparta; sibling Dave (Bernice) Dombeck; brothers and sisters-in-law Diane Mullikin, Cheryl (Dave) Slaght, Page Oswald, Dave (Sue) Oswald and Jess Hollenbeck, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Rosemary Silvers and Lois Hollenbeck; father and mother-in-law Duane and Maxine Oswald; brother and sister-in-law Larry Mullikin, Dave and Debra Ward, and Dennis Oswald.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at Century Hall, Fr. Thomas Huff officiating with interment and military honors accorded in the Wauzeka Cemetery, both in Wauzeka.
