Wins over Central, Turkey Valley and West Central kept the MFL MarMac girls golf team unbeaten in Upper Iowa Conference dual meets this season.
The Bulldogs out-shot Central 217-284 in a meet at the Elkader Golf and Country Club on April 29. MFL MarMac had the top six individual scores, led by a 53 from Taylor Randall. Morgan Jacobson was the runner-up with a 54. Devon Meyer and Hannah Jacobson both shot 55s, while Mariah Moser turned in a 58 and Hadyn Meyer a 59. Central’s top individual was Katie Royer with a 60.
MFL MarMac lowered its team score to 205 in a May 1 match versus Turkey Valley. Despite having the meet medalist and runner-up in Annika Bodensteiner with a 45 and Morgan Vsetecka with a 48, the Trojans finished at 217.
Hannah and Morgan Jacobson each shot 50s for the Bulldogs, and Randall a 51. Hadyn Meyer put up a 54 and Devon Meyer a 55, followed by Moser with a 59.
On May 2, in a make-up meet at Big Rock Country Club against West Central, the Bulldogs earned a season-best nine-hole score of 190. The Blue Devils were unable to field a full team.
Devon Meyer led all golfers with a 45, and was the meet medalist. Hannah Jacobson was the runner-up with a 47, just ahead of Morgan Jacobson with a 48. Hadyn Meyer and Randall both tallied 50s, then Moser posted a 57.
West Central’s top golfer was Lilli Eitel, who shot a 52.
The Bulldogs now have their last two dual meets before the Upper Iowa Conference meet at Guttenberg Golf and Country Club on May 13. They hosted Clayton Ridge May 5, then will take on Postville May 8.
