The Wauzeka-Steuben Track teams began their 2025 season on Tuesday, April 1 at the River Ridge Invitational. The Hornet boys finished seventh as a team with 10 points, while the W-S girls tied River Ridge for second place with 76 points. Earning top three finishes for the Hornets were Emma Wall, second in the Girls 100 Meter Dash in a time of 14.23, Isabella Bunders (first, in a time of 1:13.71) and Stella Walz (second, in a time of 1:16.26) in the Girls 400 Meter Dash, the Girls 4x200 Meter Relay team of Emma Udelhoven, Elizabeth Wright, Natalie Wright and Stella Walz (first, in a time of 2:05.47), Elizabeth Wright (second, a jump of 13-06.50) and Wall (third, a jump of 13-01.00) in the Girls Long Jump.

The Hornets traveled to Soldiers Grove one week later to compete in the North Crawford Invitational with the girls team finishing seventh with 40.33 points, while the boys took ninth with five points. The Hornet girls were lead by top-three finishes by the Girls 4x200 Meter Relay team  of Udelhoven, E. Wright, N. Wright and Ellah Jones (third place, in a time of 1:57.59), the Girls 4x400 Meter Relay team of Udelhoven, Jones, Stella Walz and N. Wright (third place, in a time of 4:43.38), the Girls 4x800 Meter Relay team of Hayley Mitchell, Macy Mitchell, Alayna Martin and Brynlee Benoy (third place, in a time of 12:01.21) and Udelhoven in the Girls Long Jump (tied for second place, with a jump of 7-06.00).

The Hornets were back on the track at Lancaster two nights later for the Lancaster Invitational and the Hornet girls finished in 16th place with 11.50 points. Wauzeka-Steuben was back in action this past Tuesday at the Brookwood Invitational and then this Thursday at the Cashton Invitational before heading to Kickapoo next Tuesday, April 22 and then to Boscobel two nights later.
