The MFL MarMac girls soccer team had a busy last week, playing three matches over five days.

The Bulldogs opened play April 7, hosting Marquette Catholic in what was a 4-0 loss. The Defenders scored all their goals during the first half. They made 11 total shots on goal against MFL MarMac keeper Alexa McElwaine.

MFL MarMac tried for the net on nine occasions, including two shots apiece from Kacie Picha, Kambry Keehner, Evelyn Fritz and Addison Corlett, but came up empty against the Defenders’ Gwen Schroeder.

The Bulldogs were able to get on the scoreboard the following night at Charles City, with a goal from Corlett. Unfortunately, the Comets found the net twice for a 2-1 victory. They made 13 shots on goal versus MFL MarMac.

The week ended in a 5-0 loss to Bellevue on April 11. The Comets put up two scores in the opening half, them tacked on three more goals in the second. They made 16 shots on goal throughout the match.

The Bulldogs, now 0-5, had just one game this week: at North Fayette Valley on April 14.
