The MFL MarMac girls golf team placed second at the April 12 Ed-Co Girls Golf Invite, in their first competition of the season. 

 

The Bulldogs tallied a score of 404, trailing only East Buchanan’s 393, and had three individuals within the top 10. Devon Meyer’s 94 was good for third place, six shots back of medalist Brooklyn Kelchen from East Buchanan. Kelchen’s East Buc teammate Kate Dolan was the runner-up with a 92. 

 

MFL MarMac’s Hadyn Meyer shot a 100 to finish fourth, and Hannah Jacobson was fifth with a 101. Morgan Jacobson’s score of 109 tied her for 11th place, while Taylor Randall shot a 111 to come in 13th. Jerica Wille finished the day with a score of 131, tying her for 23rd place.

 

The Bulldogs will be on the course three times this week, starting at South Winneshiek on April 14. They will play in a quad at Waukon on April 15, then host North Fayette Valley at Tri City Golf Course near Luana on April 17.
