Timothy Lee Hagen was born Jan. 14, 1960, in Prairie du Chien, Wis. He made his journey into heaven on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at home with his beloved friend, Chrisanna Gundy.

Chrisanna said she met Tim in 2000 in Boise, Idaho. “He reinstated my hope for happiness. We became close as he was kind, and a hard worker. He made many friends here. I felt lucky I could share him with the world. We all lost an incredible person.”

Lance, his brother, saw him as a hard worker while growing up on the farm outside of Osterdock. “He graduated from Guttenberg High School. He took that work ethic to the barges on the Mississippi River. He did this until his son, Timothy Jr., was born and then worked as an independent contractor. He was always full of good advice and ready to help anyone in need.”

Tom remembers out of all his brothers, “Tim was the only one I never got into a fight with and when he bought his first new truck back in 1979 he became my favorite brother.”

Jeff thought of Tim as a good brother and a kind soul willing to help anyone. “Never had a bad thing to say about anyone.”

Jamie thinks of Tim as a craftsman at heart and took pride of the work he did.

Mom will miss all the phone calls we had every week. He would make sure I was doing my exercises and taking care of myself. Always called himself my #1 son since he was my first. Our joke!

Tim is survived by his mother, Jean Strnad; his son, Brian Hagen and Brian’s daughter, Chloe; brothers, Lance (Petra) Hagen, Tom Hagen, Jeffrey (Michelle) Hagen and Jamie (Anneliese) Hagen; his friend, Chrisanna Gundy; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his first born, Timothy Lee Jr.; father, Leland Hagen; grandparents, Alfred and Alvina Hagen and Bud and Agnes Cassutt and step-father, Jeffrey Brooks Strnad.
