Rhonda was born on April 25, 1961, in Dubuque, the oldest child of Ronald and Sandra (Walters) Gebhardt. Rhonda spent the first 15 years of her life on the family farm, homeschooled by her mother, since the local schools weren’t wheelchair accessible at that time. When she was 16, Rhonda moved to Iowa City to further her education and graduated from West High School in 1981. After graduation, Rhonda pursued her dream of working in the radio business by moving to Minneapolis. Rhonda loved the big city life, developing a large circle of friends, and even going to some of the same clubs as Prince! In later years, Rhonda’s faith deepened and she became a devoted member of the Living Word Christian Center, and became knowledgeable about the Bible and Scriptures.
Rhonda always met her challenges head-on. She lived her life her way - as an independent, faithful, optimistic, happy person, and was always supportive of her family and there to help them in any way that she could. She was a hero to her family, their angel on Earth, and is now an angel in heaven.
Rhonda is survived by her siblings, Jackie (Kirk) Kwiatkowski, Ken (Sharmyn) Gebhardt, Clyde (Carey Meyer) Gebhardt, and Randy (Rita) Gebhardt; nieces and nephews, Jackie (Taylor) Schlageter, Christopher Gebhardt, Kyle Gebhardt, William Gebhardt (Anna Kormanak-partner), Garrett Gebhardt, Karston (Callie) Gebhardt, Cole Gebhardt, and Cora Gebhardt.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
