The Prairie du Chien boys basketball team traveled to Platteville this past Saturday night and were defeated 93-41 by the Hillmen. Platteville improved to 14-6 overall and 7-0 in the SWC, while the Hawks dropped to 0-17 overall and 0-7 in the SWC. Prairie welcomes Richland Center to town tomorrow night before traveling to Iowa-Grant on Friday Night before hosting Saint Croix Central in a non-conference matinee Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
 

Seneca made the most of their light week by earning a 77-52 road win at Weston last Thursday, Feb. 6. The Royals improved to 12-5 on the season and 7-3 in the Ridge & Valley Conference with the win. Following last night’s game at La Farge, the Royals return home tomorrow night to host Wauzeka-Steuben and Kickapoo on Friday night.

Wauzeka-Steuben spent the week on the road last week. First up for the Hornets was a trip to Brookwood High School last Monday, Feb. 3 and they came back with a 45-33 victory. Leading the Hornets was Cooper Lomas with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Julius Cooley added 11 points and seven rebounds while Brett Wagner (seven points), Francisco Riorda and Theodore Millin (three points each), Josh Martin (two points) and Kacper Szygenda (one point) rounded out the Hornets scoring in the win.
 

The Hornets traveled to North Crawford the next night and the host Trojans held off the Hornets 55-44 to remain unbeaten in the Ridge & Valley Conference. The Hornets were once again led by Lomas with 18 points, while Wagner added nine points. Cooley (six points), Clint Mitchell (five points), Martin (four points) and Riorda (two points) also contributed to the scoring tally for the Hornets.
 

Wauzeka-Steuben ended the week at Kickapoo last Thursday night and the Panthers handed the visiting Hornets a 58-32 defeat. The Hornets dropped to 4-12 overall and 2-8 in the Ridge & Valley Conference. Following last night’s home game with Weston, the Hornets will travel to Seneca tomorrow night and to Ithaca on Friday night.
