April 2, 1928–January 13, 2025

Pauline I. Pugh, age 96, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Jan. 13, 2025, at Prairie Maison. 

Pauline was born April 2, 1928, to Louis and Victoria Petkoff in Lake Geneva.

She is survived by daughters, Tina (John) Iserman, Owatonna, MN, Cindy (Greg) Robertson, Prairie du Chien, and son Auric (Andrea Alongi) Gold, Madison. 

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lisa (Dave) Epinette, Michael (Darcy) Iserman, Matt (Katherine) Iserman,  Jennifer (Allen) Verbrugge, Rebecca Iserman, David (Angie) Iserman, Sarah (Jason) Kroning, Jon G. Kramer, Phil Gold, Marissa Gold and twenty-two great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. 

She was pre-deceased by her parents, six brothers, six sisters, her daughter-in-law, Mary P. Gold and one grandson, Andrew E. Kramer.  

Pauline worked for many years as a librarian at St. Gabriel Grade School where she especially enjoyed helping her reluctant readers find books that interested them. 

After she left St. Gabriel, she worked at many different jobs, most of which gave her the opportunity to meet people from all over the U.S. and other countries. 

She was especially proud of earning a diploma as an Information Processing Specialist at Southwest Tech at the age of 75.  

Pauline enjoyed walks, bicycling, gardening, bird watching and the company of her cats and dogs.  

The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers at Prairie Maison and St. Croix Hospice. 

A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, with inurnment in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
