November 12, 1945–May 21, 2024

 

Richard “Dick” Polodna passed away May 21, 2024, at his home in Onalaska of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 12, 1945, to Thomas and Dot (Briles) Polodna in Prairie du Chien.  After high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 until 1970 and was honorably discharged.  

He married Susan Lang in June of 1970, and they later divorced.

Dick ran the Polo Cleaning business for over 30 years in the La Crosse area, before retiring 16 years ago.   

In his retirement, he enjoyed creating garden ornaments and bird feeders from recycled glass.  His creations are one of a kind. 

He is survived by his daughter Aeron Polodna and her husband Patrick Rebholz as well as his son Wade Polodna and his wife Desiree.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Jennifer Rae. There will be no formal arrangements at this time.
