Edith Ann (Zeeh) Klema, 83, died Nov. 4, 2024.

She graduated from Wauzeka Public School and then went on to St. Frances School of Nursing in LaCrosse.

She married her high school love, Michael P. Klema and they raised five sons on their Shanghi Ridge farm. She worked at the General Hospital in Prairie du Chien until it closed.

She then became the occupational health nurse at Advance Transformer in Boscobel for 25 years.

After Advance, she worked at the Boscobel Hospital as a psych nurse for 20 years until it closed.

Her interests were to help others, so she was a volunteer driver for Veterans, helped at thrift stores and distributed food at local food pantries and the bloodmobiles.

She was a member of the Eastman First Responders and then after moving to Boscobel, she became an EMT with the rescue squad for 20 years.

Edith donated over 16-gallons of blood during her lifetime. 

She had a great passion for garage sales also having one in her home for many years.

She loved cooking and sharing food with many others.

She leaves three sons and their families, Kim (Cinda), Ed (Deb) and James; daughter-in-law, Michele Klema; brothers, Charles (Susie) Zeeh, Larry (Kathy) Zeeh; a sister, Mary (Kerry) Larsen; grandchildren, Tabitha Cornell, Chase and Cole Klema, Miranda and Christopher Klema, Heather Klema, Ryan and Amy Fralick; Tyler and Jessica Klema; two great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Cecelia Zeeh; former husband, Michael Klema; sons, Michael and Peter; daughter-in-law, Kathy; grandson, Rusty; and her life and fishing partner, Marvin Martin.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations could be made to local EMS or food pantries.
