The Seneca Volleyball team wrapped up the 2024 regular season last week with three matches in four days. The Royals began last week by traveling to Kickapoo High to face the Panthers and came away victorious after sweeping the hosts 25-23, 25-20 and 25-21.
The two teams met each other the following night as part of Seneca’s senior night and the Royals once again won in three sets (25-22, 25-20 and 25-22).
Seneca was back on the road two nights later as the Royals traveled to La Farge to conclude the regular season. The Royals entered the night one game behind conference leader Ithaca. The Royals needed a win and some help from Wauzeka-Steuben (who were wrapping up their regular season at Ithaca) in order to share the Ridge & Valley Conference Championship.
The Royals did their part by defeating the host Wildcats 25-7, 25-6 and 25-12 to end the regular season with a 12-2 conference record and as winners of their last 18 sets (and last six matches). Ithaca showed why they finished 13-1 in the Ridge & Valley Conference by defeating the Hornets in three sets.
Seneca Volleyball enters the postseason with a 16-8 overall record and will host  the winner of the matchup between  no. 6 seed Wonewoc-Center and no. 11 seed Coulee Christian/Providence Academy tomorrow night.
