PdC Cross Country runs at SWC meet

The Prairie du Chien Cross Country traveled to the Lancaster Golf Course last Thursday for the 2024 SWC Championship Meet and came back with fourth and fifth place team finishes. The Hawks finished in fifth place in the girls race with a score of 116. They were led by senior Tannah Radloff who finished 16th in a time of 23:11. She was followed by sophomore Karly Kramer in 20th place (23:29), junior Kate Gebhard in 22nd place (24:02), senior Allison Mathies in 25th place (24:42), sophomores Madelyn Coffield in 33rd (28:01), Lexy Trebus in 34th (28:11) and Autumn Ziegler in 35th (28:57).
The PdC boys team finished fourth with a score of 101. The Hawks got top-14 finishes from junior Sam Kramer (18:06) in ninth and senior Spencer Foley (18:17) in 11th as the two runners each earned second team all-conference honors. Sophomore Treyton Reames followed in 24th (19:03), freshman Landon Smith in 27th (19:45), sophomore Lane Henderson in 30th (20:15), junior Joey Kramer in 36th (22:14) and junior Finnnian Stafford-Johnson in 40th (24:19).
The Hawks kick off postseason competition this Saturday at the Prairie du Chien Country Club when they host a D3 Sectional Meet that will also include River Ridge, Seneca and Wauzeka-Steuben. The girls race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m with the boys race following at 11:45 a.m. Spectator parking for the 24-team event will be on the County Line Festival grounds with shuttle buses bringing spectators to the country club.
