River Ridge Volleyball sweeps Benton

In their only match of the week, coach Dianne Langmeier and her River Ridge Timberwolves swept visiting Benton last Thursday night in Six Rivers West conference volleyball action.
With the win, River Ridge improved to 3-7 in league play, and sit fifth in the league standings with two games remaining.
Benton, who fell to 0-10 in league play with the loss, saw the Timberwolves cruise to victories of 25-16, 25-22 and 25-11 last Thursday night.
River Ridge senior Reghan Zinkle put down a team-high seven kills to go along with a team-high 13 digs and two service aces to lead the Timberwolves.
Freshman Ava Nies added six kills and senior Alix Goeke had five, as sophomore setter Mallory Crubel dished out 18 assists to go along with one block.
Following this past Tuesday night’s match at Belmont, the Timberwolves will conclude the regular season at Cassville Thursday night, before beginning tournament play on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
