The Prairie du Chien Volleyball team hosted Lancaster on Tuesday, Oct. 8. The Hawks opened up senior night by winning the first set 25-22 before the Flying Arrows responded by winning each of the next three sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-22) to win the match 3 sets to 1.
Prairie traveled to La Crosse Logan this past Saturday for their final tournament of the regular season. The Hawks began the day with Bangor and came away with a 2 set to 1 win (19-25, 25-22, 15-7) over the Cardinals. The Hawks were then defeated by La Crescent-Hokah (MN) 2-0 (15-25, 22-25), Wisconsin Dells 2-0 (16-25, 9-25) and Mondovi 2-0 (20-25, 13-25).
PdC’s season record stood at 6-22 entering the final week of the regular season. The Hawks began the week last night by traveling to Platteville before they end the week (and regular season) tomorrow night at Richland Center. Postseason pairings were not released as of press time but the first round of regional competition begins on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
