Bulldog runners meet large field at Jesup

The MFL MarMac cross country team competed against a large field that included some Class 3A and bigger 2A schools in an Oct. 1 meet at Jesup.
The Bulldog girls finished in the middle of the pack, eighth out of 17 teams who recorded scores. Cora Keehner was the top finisher, turning in a 21:17 for 28th place. Brooke Donlon was 45th with a 22:06.9 and Charlotte Meyer took 62nd with a time of 22:46.8. Skylar Fisk and Taryn Moser rounded out the top five scores with respective finishes of 23:10.9 and 23:15, good for 70th and 72nd place. Evelyn Ruff crossed the line 82nd, while Kennedy Bachman was 87th.
MFL MarMac did not field a score in the boys’ race, but saw a solid finish from senior Jacob Schellhorn, who placed 20th with a time of 17:09.1. Tucker Ruff ran to 86th in 19:31.3, and Logan Ross was 151st with a time of 24:54.9.
The Bulldogs’ lone meet this week was Oct. 8, at South Winn.
