August 7, 1963–August 13, 2024
Angela L. “Angie” Finney, age 61 of Wauzeka, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, while doing what she loved in tending to her garden.
She was born Aug. 7, 1963, to Roger and Mary Ann (Mislivecek) Chase. Angie grew up on her family’s pig farm in Beetown and later became the Pork Princess of Grant County.
She attended Lancaster High School where she played the flute as part of the school band. Angie graduated with the class of 1981. She then obtained an associate’s degree in accounting from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore.
Angie married Jeff Finney on June 6, 1998, at the United Methodist Church in Lancaster.
She worked for Gencor Industries in Marquette, Iowa, before moving to 3M in Prairie du Chien, where she remained for over 20 years.
Angie always loved her pets and animals including pigs, chickens, dogs, and cats. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years Jeff; stepchildren Steven and Nikki Finney; brother Jeff (Jennifer) Chase; three grandchildren and several nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rose Duncan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with burial in the Wauzeka Cemetery in Wauzeka.
