Marilyn Dorsch passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, with her family near after a long struggle with Dementia. She was born to Dr. William and Sylvia Nugent on Aug. 11, 1936. She enjoyed a wonderful childhood growing up around the Mississippi River in Prairie du Chien.

She graduated from St. Theresa College in Winona, Minn., as a registered nurse. She met the love of her life, Donald Dorsch, in Winona at the sister school of St. Mary’s. The family moved to DePere in 1970 to start Yineman-Dorsch Ford which is now Dorsch Ford Lincoln Kia. It has been in business for 54 years and is being run by the third generation of the Dorsch Family. In addition to DePere, they shared many wonderful times with friends and family in Door County as well as Bonita Bay, Fla. Some of her fondest memories include book club and bocce ball with her friends. Marilyn was also an active member of P.E.O. Chapter AV for over 30 years and an associate member of Service League of Green Bay.

Marilyn is survived by her four loving sons-Pete (Aliece) Dorsch, Mike (Mary) Dorsch, Chris (Phornarin) Dorsch and Dan (Barb) Dorsch, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Rita Nugent-Clancy, (McGregor, IA) and two brothers Nick and John Nugent (Prairie du Chien).

She was preceded in death by her husband Don Dorsch and her parents Dr. William and Sylvia Nugent, and baby sister Ellen.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers at Rennes Health and Rehab.

A private memorial service and celebration of life has been held. Memorial donations may be made to the Golden House, P.O. Box 727, Green Bay, WI 54305-0727 which supports help and healing for domestic abuse.
