Robert Clarence Cornwell, 80, Gillette Wyo. passed away surrounded by family on July 7, 2024.

Burial will be Aug. 8, at 1 p.m. at Ceres Cemetery, Garnavillo. A reception will follow at Garnavillo Community Center.

Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan, Wyo. was in charge of arrangements.

Robert was the eldest child of Oscar and Eleanor (Harbaugh) Cornwell, born on Aug. 8, 1943, in Dubuque.

Robert is survived by his wife, Marlene (Rounds) Cornwell; sons, Rick Cornwell and Doug (Billie) Caley; daughters, Kris (Jim) Stocks, Roberta (Murray) Lear, Lisa (Mike) Schwem, Brandy Wright (David); siblings, Bruce (Donna) Cornwell, Steve (Deanna) Cornwell, Brenda (Fred) Schaub; two uncles, Gary and Gene Harbaugh.

Robert was a proud and loving grandfather to Jacob, Sydnee, Austin, Mickaila, Kurtis, Tayler, Mathew, Rylie, Anthony, Elizabeth, Reaghan, Garrett, Kennedy, Bob, Adam, Kolby, and Cody.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Cornwell, Eleanor and Robert Lewin; father-in-law, Carl Rounds; brothers, John Lewin, John and Roger Cornwell; sister-in-law, Diane Rounds; children, Randy and Scott Cornwell and niece, Stephanie Schaub.
