Divine Current Wellness, located at 531 South 1st Street in Guttenberg, offers alternative and holistic health services by highly-specialized licensed practitioners to assist with mind relaxation, body restoration and soul replenishing.

Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Divine Current Wellness owner Sadie Hefel draws from 11 years of experience in assisting clients to live their best life.

"I always possessed a curiosity about the internal and external mechanics of the human body," Sadie began. "It is an honor and a privilege to help people regain health and wellbeing through holistic practices that align with the body's natural ability to heal itself."

If you are seeking pain or stress relief, looking to regain or gain mobility, or need a facial to address a skin issue, Sadie and her team of dedicated practitioners are available to assist you.

Sadie Hefel

Sadie, who is studying to become an Ayurvedic Life Coach, is a multi-faceted and well-rounded wellness practitioner, specializing in barefoot deep tissue massage. Whether around the massage table, in the birthing room as a certified doula, yoga instructor, or women's circle facilitator she is here to support you on your wellness journey.

Hannah Whetston

Grief tending, spirit tending, and body tending are the focus of Hannah's practice.

She is licensed in massage therapy and holds a master level certification in Usui Holy Fire Reiki. Hannah has been on an immersive journey into Indigenous African Spirit Technologies as brought to the West by Dagara elder Malidoma Patrice Somé, which has instilled a deep reverence and respect of Earth wisdom and connection to our ancestors.

Hannah completed her massage therapy training at Minnesota State College Southeast in a two-year study with an emphasis in Holistic and Eastern Modalities. Most recently, this past January she finished a Community Grief Ritual Leadership Training with Francis Weller.

Individual sessions with Hannah combine energy clearing, relaxation focused bodywork, and connection to the Sacred. She holds supported space for those in transition, those who are anxious and stressed, as well as those who have specific healing intentions.

"Healing happens in community." Keep an eye out for her ancestral connection circles, community grief circles, mindful movement meditation workshops, and new moon women's circles. Information for events will be available on Divine Current's social media and website as well as at her practice, Sacred Body Therapies, Facebook page.

Lisa Hefel

Sound healer Lisa Hefel promotes emotional balance through finely tuned frequencies that relieve anxiety and stress in one-on-one and group sessions. She began her career at the Center of I Am, in Dubuque as a facilitator for Individual Sound Healing sessions for others.

She received the attunements to the Eight Seals of the Shekinah/Divine Feminine under the direction of theta healers, Stephanie L. and Robbie Nicolai.

Under the leadership and teachings of Dr. Joseph Crane, Lisa completed the Divine Masculine Class and received those nine attunements, and was taught how to use tuning forks and essential oils on the body.

Lisa utilizes tools to create positive sound vibrations such as an amethyst bio mat, tuning forks, singing bowls, and Koshi chimes to help relax the mind and body promoting overall health.

Madison Meyer

Skin therapist and wax specialist Madison Meyer is an aesthetician dedicated to helping you achieve your skincare goals. She believes skincare is not just about the treatments offered, but also about empowering clients with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain healthy, glowing skin at home.

Madison completed her aesthetics training at Capri College in Dubuque. Upon completing her education, she received the highest academic achievement in her class and is certified in Microdermabrasion, Microcurrent, and Facial Cupping.

She enjoys analyzing skin types, discussing skin care routines, and recommending products that truly make a difference. Madison is trained to read your skin’s past, treat your skin’s present, and help guide you to maintain your skin’s future.

Infared Sauna

Step into healing and deep relaxation in Divine Current's Sunlighten Amplify III Infrared Sauna, available for single use or up to three individuals.

Unlike traditional saunas that use steam or dry heat to warm a room, infrared saunas use advanced infrared heaters to warm your body directly. As your body absorbs the infrared heat it increases thermal energy inducing a deep and relaxing sweat.

Chromotherapy, or color light therapy adds to the process of restoring balance to the body by applying color. "Color therapy can be used to reduce swelling, decrease inflammation, for pain relief, accelerated healing, mood regulation, improved sleep patterns, relief of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and has anti-aging benefits, naming only a few," Sadie listed.

Ionic Foot Bath Detox

The newest offering at Divine Current Wellness is the Ionic Cleanse Detox Foot Bath. The detoxification system facilitates the body's ability to heal itself using steel electrodes, which cleans, balances, and enhances bio-energy – a vital force present in the body's fluid.

Reflexology teaches us that each foot is an outlet through which the body attempts to cleanse or rid itself of heavy metal and toxic waste built up in numerous other areas of the body.

The detoxifying process can aid in:

• less fluid retention

•reduction of inflammation

• improved memory

• improved bladder control

• a more balance pH

• a stronger immune system

• significant pain relief, inclusive of, but not limited to arthritis, gout and headaches.

Each session lasts 30 minutes and can be enjoyed alone or with a friend.

Shopping and group events

The Divine Current Wellness retail shop sells one-of-a-kind items and natural products that support local artists, woman owned, and other small businesses.

The wellness center also provides small group events such as workshops, retreats, women’s spa day, children’s mini-spa/yoga party, or couples massage.

“I believe self care is different for everyone, and can change for each individual as life goes on,” Sadie concluded. “I believe many don’t have a good example of self care. It was not known or taught the importance of – leaving those who followed to question it.”
