PdC Little League to host Pitch, Hit and Run

The Prairie du Chien Independent Little League will host their annual regional Pitch, Hit and Run Competition for area youth on Sunday, July 28 at 3 p.m. at the St. Feriole Island Ball Fields.

The Pitch, Hit and Run Competition is a yearly event sponsored by Major League Baseball. The program is designed to provide youngsters the opportunity to compete,  free of charge, in a competition to display their core baseball/softball skills.

Boys and girls are divided into four age groups - 7 and 8 year olds, 9 and 10 year olds, 11 and 12 year olds and 13 and 14 year olds. Competitors will have the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition including team championships and the finals, which takes place during the World Series.

Participants should register beforehand online at PitchHitRun.com and will also need to bring  age verification (such as a copy of their birth certificate or something similar) to the competition.
