July 1, 1947–May 12, 2024

Diane C. Myers, aged 76, of Prairie du Chien, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2024, at Prairie Maison.  

Born on July 1, 1947, in Chicago, Ill., to Clarence and Eileen (Corbett) Kruse, Diane moved to Prairie du Chien in 1972.  

Upon arrival to the area, Diane worked as a waitress at Geisler’s Blue Heaven Supper Club.  She went on to work for several years at the IOCO gas station. Diane then finished her career at Kwik Trip where she retired after 15 years of dedicated service.  

Diane married Robert Myers in 1977, but they later divorced.  She found solace attending Mass on Sundays at Holy Family Parish.  At times when she was unable to attend in person, she would faithfully listen to the service on the radio. 

Diane treasured moments with her loved ones, finding joy in family gatherings and cherished friendships.  

She leaves behind her two children, Roberta “Robin” (Mitch) Fisher and Dennis Myers, as well as her dear brother and sister-in-law Alan and Elizabeth “Liz” Kruse.  

Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Chelsea (Jacob Seibert) Fisher and Jordyn (Drew Willems) Fisher; her adored great-grandson Liam Jrue Willems; and her grand pooches, Chewie, Darby, Rizzo, Mylo, and Brucie.  

Additionally, Diane is survived by her stepchildren, Robert Myers, Jr. and Connie Brandt, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Brian Kruse and sister-in-law Gloria Kruse.  

A Celebration of Diane’s life will be Saturday, June 8, from 1–4 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with a private family inurnment at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Alsip, Ill. www.garrityfuneralhome.com.
