Prairie Baseball blanks Darlington 10-0, Dodgeville hands the Hawks a 4-0 defeat

The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks traveled to Darlington on Monday, April 29 and came back with a 10-0 non-conference victory in six innings.

Nick McCullick got the win for the Hawks on the mound, allowing just three hits and three walks while striking out four in six innings.

Abe Amundson (3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs) led the Hawks at the plate. Also having multi-hit games were Noah Pedretti (2-for-5 with two runs scored), Brady Lenzendorf (2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI) and Logan Kiesau (2-for-4 with a double).

The Hawks lost to Dodgeville 4-0 in a SWC Conference game in PdC the following evening.

The Prairie du Chien offense only managed two hits against the Dodgers.  McCullick and Ayden Ihde each had singles. The Blackhawks left five men on base and struck out 10 times in the shutout.

Kiesau took the loss for the Blackhawks. Kiesau pitched 5.1 innings allowing four earned runs on 10 hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Amundson came in relief for PdC giving up two hits and striking out three.

The Blackhawks are now 7-4 on the season and 3-3 in the SWC. 

Following Monday’s game with Cuba City, Prairie baseball welcomes Lancaster to town on Thursday and La Crosse Aquinas on Friday before traveling to Copeland Park in La Crosse Saturday morning to play La Crosse Central at 11 a.m. The Hawks will now also host Onalaska Luther for Senior Night on Monday, May 13.
