Inclement weather limited the MFL MarMac boys and girls golf teams to just one meet last week, at South Winneshiek on April 15.

The Bulldog girls edged the Warriors 200-208, for their third straight win. They did it behind another medalist performance by sophomore Devon Meyer, whose 45 was two strokes better than runner-up Paige Jaster from South Winn. Warrior Brooke Steffans was third with a 50, while MFL MarMac’s Kaylin Garbes and Morgan Jacobson tied for fourth with 51s. Clare Grau slotted into sixth place after shooting a 53, Hannah Jacobson put up a 57 for 10th and Wren Feuerhelm and Jerica Wille tied for 13th with 62s. A 63 put Kaylee Nuehring in 16th place.

MFL MarMac’s boys placed third at South Winn, their 172 team score just behind Waukon’s 167 and South Winn’s 168. Warrior Cale Kleppe and Indian Dylan Stegen were the top individuals, with 38s, followed by Bulldog Sawyer Keehner in third place with a 40. Nick Krambeer, Kyle Tilson and Quinn McGeough were part of a log jam of nine golfers in fifth place, after shooting 43s. Wes Corlett and Ben Krambeer fell to 16th place with scores of 46, and Jarett Hanson ranked 20th with a 51. A 54 put Jaron Wille in 21st place.

The Bulldogs continued Upper Iowa Conference play this week. They hosted Central at Tri City Golf Course on April 22, then will head to Big Rock Country Club to face West Central on April 25.
