The MFL MarMac boys golf team picked up two wins last week, placing first in a triangular at Waukon, then besting North Fayette Valley in a conference match-up.
The Bulldogs edged Waukon 156-168 to claim the top team score on April 9, while Postville dropped to third with a 231.
Medalist Ben Krambeer led the pack with a 36, and brother Nick was co-runner-up with Waukon’s Dylan Stegen after shooting a 37. A 38 put Quinn McGeough in third. Wes Corlett shot a 45 for eighth place, followed by Jarett Hanson in 12th with a 48 and Sawyer Keehner 13th with a 49.
MFL MarMac followed that up by defeating NFV 166-184 on April 11, again powered by a 1-2-3 finish by the Krambeer brothers and McGeough. Ben Krambeer turned in another 36 to place first, while Nick Krambeer was runner-up with a 40 and McGeough shot a 43. Keehner finished the meet with a 47, tying for seventh, and Corlett and Hanson each scored 48s to tie for ninth.
This is a busy week for the Bulldogs, who started off at South Winneshiek on April 15, then will host Clayton Ridge on April 18 for the first home meet.
