Phyllis M. Olson

Phyllis M. Olson age 81 of Seneca, Wisc., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL. She was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisc., on Feb. 22, 1943, the daughter of Charles and Julia (Klema) Sprosty. She married Thomas Olson on Feb. 1, 1964, in La Crosse, Wisc.
Together they had four children, Kathryn (Keith) Dalsing, Christopher (Tammy) Olson, Marcia (Kevin) Kvigne, and Sara (Dean) Adelman; 10 grandchildren, Beth (Austin Benge) Dalsing, Carson Dalsing, Graham Dalsing, Benjamin (Courtney) Olson, Abigail (Steven) Heisserer, Briana (Alex) Dalziel, Nick Kvigne, Seth (Abby Althaus) and Nathan and Parker Adelman; and two great grandchildren, Callie Heisserer and Cooper Olson.
Phyllis and Tom were dairy farmers until 1998. While still farming they founded, owned, and operated Olson Feed Service until their retirement in 2012. Phyllis and Tom enjoyed many travel adventures all over the world.
Phyllis’s husband Tom preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2020, after 56 years of marriage.
Phyllis is survived by her siblings John (Marlene) Sprosty, Mary Sue (Larry) Booher, and William Sprosty as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Martin and Joseph Sprosty.
A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be Monday, March 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seneca, Fr. Thomas Huff officiating, with inurnment in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church Sunday, March 10 from 4–7 p.m. and one hour prior to the Mass on Monday.
