River Ridge earns win at Boscobel

Behind a 27-point, 12-rebound performance from senior Matthew Nies, the River Ridge Timberwolves handed host Boscobel a 77-41 non-conference loss last Friday night.
Coach Jim Wagner’s squad improved to 16-4 overall with the victory, while the Bulldogs fell to 5-16 with the loss.
River Ridge outscored the Bulldogs 58-14 in the paint, where River Ridge was 29-of-51, compared to 7-of-13 for Boscobel.
From beyond the 3-point arc, River Ridge was 4-of-10, and 3-of-7 from the free throw line, while also converting 24 Boscobel turnovers into 32 points.
Brady Bunge chipped in 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor, including 2-of-3 from downtown where he is 37.8 percent on the season.
Brandon Davis and Andrew Nies each finished with 10 points, Davis also having a team-high seven assists and five steals.
Following this past Tuesday night’s home game against Benton, the Timberwolves will travel to Belmont on Friday night, before closing out the regular season on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Cassville.
