PdC/Fennimore gymnasts at Platteville

The Prairie du Chien/ Fennimore Gymnastics Team traveled to Platteville on Monday, Feb. 5 for their last conference dual of the season. The host Platteville/Belmont/Lancaster tri-op defeated the Hawks by a score of 128.25 to 125.175. 

The gymnasts have skills and talent to score big, they need to continue to be confident and work together as a team. There were several stand out performances at Monday nights meet. 

On the Uneven Bars Taia Dressler had a season best score of 7.8, Kendra Baker also had a season best routine with a score of 6.25. On the Balance Beam Julianne Washa had a season best no fall routine with a score of 7.1. Madilyn Fisher came in second on the balance beam with a score of 8.75, and T. Dressler in 4th with a score of 7.7. On the Floor Exercise Paisley Dressler had a season best routine with a score of 6.9. T. Dressler also had a season best floor routine coming in second with a score of 8.85. Fisher came in first with a score of 9.275. In All Around Fisher came in first with a score of 34.275. T. Dressler came in 3rd with a personal best score of 32.175.

The team returned to Platteville five days later for the annual Lisa Steger Memorial Invitational with the Hawks taking eighth place out of 10 teams with a score of 124.525. Fisher was sixth in All Around with a score of 35.075.

Fisher was also awarded with the Lisa Steger Spirit of Gymnastics Scholarship Award at the invitational.

Steger was a former Head Coach of the Platteville Gymnastics Team, who sadly passed away at the young age of 25 while coaching. Her family created this scholarship in her honor.
