Shirley M. Moser

Shirley M. Moser, 91, of Guttenberg, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, at Guttenberg Care Center.
Visitation will be held from 9-10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. Funeral services will commence at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Pastor Mike Ashman. Burial will follow at the Guttenberg City Cemetery.
Shirley was born on Feb. 5, 1932, in Clayton County, the daughter of William Jr and Laura (Bahls) Glawe. She married Nathan Moser on Jan. 10, 1953, in Elkader. Together, they would raise three sons, Dennis, Scott, and Jerry.
While working on the farm, she was also employed at Ertl’s and escorted mobile homes. Later, she worked at Guttenberg Industries, where she retired from. Shirley devoted her life to her Lutheran faith. Some special memories included gardening, sharing her recipes with her sons, and taking trips to Lake Elysian in Minnesota to camp and fish as a family.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (Kay) Moser and Jerry (special friend, Stacey Wagner) Moser; grandchildren, Corey (Hue) Moser, Shannon (Jared Bentrott) Robertson, Brandon (Amy) Moser, Ashley (Tyler) Kirkman, Jasmine Moser, Seth Moser and Audra Moser; great-grandchildren, Hayden Robertson, Elin Robertson, Quinn Robertson, Hannah Moser, Paul Moser, River Kirkman; siblings, Betty Kuehl, Lois Aulwes, Lyle (Darlene) Glawe; in-laws, Jerome (Charlene) Moser, Joann (Charles) Finch, Eloise Lammers, Lowell (Cindy) Moser, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Moser; great-grandson, Dylan Moser; siblings, Loren Glawe, Norbert Glawe, Candace Krapfl; in-laws, Francis, Winifred, and Bernice Moser.
