The Prairie du Chien girls basketball team responded to the end of their five game winning streak at the hands of Winona Cotter the previous week by immediately starting another winning streak.
The Hawks hosted the Fennimore Eagles on Tuesday, Jan 2 as part of a doubleheader with the boys teams playing each other afterwards. The Prairie girls earned a 60-33 victory over the Eagles.
Prairie du Chien briefly stepped back into conference play on Thursday, Jan. 4 when they traveled to Lancaster to face the Flying Arrows and came away with a 57-50 win to improve to 3-1 in SWC play.
The Hawks then traveled to Mineral Point on Saturday, Jan. 6 to face the Pointers and earned a 57-51 victory to push their current winning streak to three games and their overall record to 10-4.
Following a home game with the Onalaska Hilltoppers on Tuesday night (weather pending), the Blackhawks will host the Dodgeville Dodgers on Friday, Jan. 12 in a SWC showdown as both teams each sit at 3-1 in the conference.
