Central went 1-2 against Clayton Ridge and lost the team score 30-12. Bormann walked away with another pin, while Isaiah Burns and Jonah Burns, wrestling at 106 pounds, suffered losses by fall.
In the final dual against East Buchanan, the Warriors were 2-1 in matches while losing 54-18 in the team score. Jonah Burns and Jaster earned wins via fall, and Isaiah Burns was pinned.
The Warriors had their final meet before break on Dec. 21, in the Iowa vs. Wisconsin Holiday Border Brawl at Postville.
The Warriors took on De Soto first, with Bormann winning his match via 16-1 technical fall. Preston Kulper (150) and Jaster both lost by pin. Central lost the dual 42-23.
Up next was North Crawford/Seneca, with the Warriors finishing 1-3 in matches and taking the overall loss 28-18. Jaster was the lone victor with a pin, while Kulper, Jonah Burns and Jamison Feickert (120) all lost.
The Warriors also faced River Ridge, going 2-3 in matches and losing 27-18. Kulper won by fall at the three-minute mark, as did Bormann in less than 90 seconds. Isaiah Burns lost a 9-4 decision, while Jonah Burns and Jaster both lost via pin.
The Warriors will now head off on winter break before returning to action for the UIC Dual Tournament at North Fayette Valley on Jan. 4. The team will be back at home on Jan. 6, for the Central Invitational.
