Prairie senior Max Schneider named to the Academic All-State Team

Prairie du Chien senior Max Schneider was recently named to Wisconsin Football Coaches Association’s 2023 Academic All-State team as an individual. Players earn individual academic all-state recognition by being a senior varsity letter winner and having a 3.75 cumulative GPA or higher.
Schneider is the 14th Prairie du Chien senior football player to be named Academic All-State since the formation of the award in the mid-1990s, and is also the sixth player in the last four seasons (and seventh in the last six seasons) to earn a spot on the team.
The 13 other players to be named to the Academic All-State team in Prairie du Chien Football program history are Tom Frye (1998), Jeff Davis (1999), Mat Peterson (2001), Seth Yager (2003), Craig Mezera (2004), Nick Lenzendorf (2005), Brogan Riter (2013), Grant Martin (2018), Chad Achenbach (2020), Trent Mallat and Owen Oldenburg (2021), and Rhett Koenig and Luke Kramer (2022).
